Woodward opens its doors to children who are still too young to attend nursery school by offering semester-long Caregiver and Child classes. This is a wonderful first glimspe into the Woodward school and community.

Classes take place in Woodward's multipurpose room, and are for children aged between 6 months to 2 1/2 years of age.

Enrollment is limited to 10 children and their caregivers on a first come / first served basis.

We welcome you to sign-up using the links below each class description.

This class is for children between 12 months - 19 months of age and their caregiver.

Learning Through Play: Each child's social emotional, cognitive, and physical development is supported through a fun, play-based program that includes free play, music and movement, story time and snack time (please bring from home).

Engaging Activities: The classroom is filled with educational materials and toys that inspire curiosity and imagination. Children will enjoy finger songs and puppets, balls, baby dolls, and scarves, blocks, and puzzles.

Skill Building Activities: Develop fine and gross motor development, sensory exploration, cooperative and parallel play.

Caregiver Participation is part of the experience: This encourages necessary support to your child as needed, space to share insights and ask questions, and a place to connect with other families.

Each Child’s Developmental Journey is Unique: We follow your toddler's lead, observing their choices and celebrating their growth.

Our daughter, Eyla, had a truly joyful and enriching experience at Woodward Nursery School, attending both the Rainbow and Little Stars classes. From cooking and learning Spanish to reading books and imaginative play with dolls, each day was filled with engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. The warmth and attentiveness of the teachers created a nurturing environment where Eyla thrived socially and emotionally. As parents, we were continually impressed by the thoughtful communication through newsletters and photos that beautifully captured the spirit of the school. Woodward is a special place that fosters curiosity, creativity, and community—we're so grateful for our time there.
