Woodward opens its doors to children who are still too young to attend nursery school by offering semester-long Caregiver and Child classes. This is a wonderful first glimpse into the Woodward school and community.

Music and Creative Movement classes are held in Woodward’s Multipurpose Room for children aged 6 months to 2½ years. The Early Childhood Playgroup takes place in Woodward’s Playgroup Classroom and is for children aged 8 to 23 months.

Enrollment is limited to 10 children and their caregivers on a first come / first served basis.

We welcome you to sign-up using the links below each class description.

Through play and the introduction of music literacy, class will be a combination of a voice warmup, rhythm songs, movement songs, and instrument songs. These songs will focus on the essential skills to help build basic music competency (singing in tune and staying in rhythm). Our daughter, Eyla, had a truly joyful and enriching experience at Woodward Nursery School, attending both the Rainbow and Little Stars classes. From cooking and learning Spanish to reading books and imaginative play with dolls, each day was filled with engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. The warmth and attentiveness of the teachers created a nurturing environment where Eyla thrived socially and emotionally. As parents, we were continually impressed by the thoughtful communication through newsletters and photos that beautifully captured the spirit of the school. Woodward is a special place that fosters curiosity, creativity, and community—we're so grateful for our time there.
